Map sizes
A random world is square: its size is the length of a side in metres (one block is one metre). The game offers 6144, 8192 and 10240; the dedicated server accepts any multiple of 2048 in that range.
| Size | Side | Area | Traders | Cities | Towns | POIs | Tier 5 | Spawn → trader | Worlds measured |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6144 (6K) | 6.1 km | 38 km² | 15.5 | 4.7 | 15.5 | 1,317 | 32.3 | 519 m | 100 |
| 8192 (8K) | 8.2 km | 67 km² | 19.6 | 5.9 | 20.0 | 1,857 | 44.7 | 582 m | 100 |

Which size to pick
- 6144 (6K): solo or two players. Everything is close; you will have looted most of it in a few weeks of game days. Generates in about 15 seconds on a fast PC.
- 8192 (8K): the usual choice for a small group, with room for each player’s base and plenty of towns.
- 10240 (10K): servers and long games. More of everything, longer drives, and a bigger load on the server and the clients’ memory.
Pick the size first, then find a seed at that size: the same seed at another size is a different world.
